Operation:

Place the battery on the gold-colored plate, with the “+” facing up (usually the smooth side of the battery facing up), and then slide/push the battery towards the LCD screen to get a reading on the battery’s strength. It will tell you how strong the battery is.

Tips:

After the seal of a zinc-air hearing aid battery is removed, air enters the cell to activate it. After one or two minutes the voltage of the cell reaches its nominal value. It stays there over most of its life before dropping rapidly near the end. Because it is so constant over most of its life, the voltage doesn’t tell much about how much battery life is left. Nevertheless, a simple test is useful when your hearing aid doesn’t work and you want to know whether it is the device(e.g. bad contacts) or the battery.
